Greetings from
St. George, Bradenton!

Welcome! We are so glad you are visiting our site! We are a small yet spirited and friendly Parish Family, honoring God and serving God’s people on and beyond the south side of Bradenton.

Join Us!

Our Sunday worship is the glue that binds us to Christ and one another.

Join us any Sunday – 8 am Eucharist (Rite I recited) in our chapel, 9 am Morning Prayer (Rite II) in our chapel, and 10 am Eucharist (Rite II with music) in our main church. We welcome you and would love to have you worship with us! And please join us in our Parish Hall for Coffee and Fellowship after our 10 am service!

From Sunday worship in various ways, we’re each sent into our week to “love and serve the Lord” in all people in any number of ways. We’re each unique, with countless daily opportunities to serve in the Lord’s Name.

Along with our ministries here at St. George, we invite you to join us during the days of the week as we reach out with the love of God to our neighborhood and community. (Below are highlights; for specifics, kindly consult our monthly calendar in this site under the heading “Calendars.”)

  • Mondays and Wednesdays (during the school year): We open our Parish Hall to our neighborhood children and teens as an After-School Homework Site with a Devotion Time from 3 to 5 pm, offering Avenue 941’s proven program for improving reading and math skills.

  • On the first Tuesdays: We invite folks from the community to a Free Spaghetti Supper, served from 5 to 6:30 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know our neighbors. We offer a before-supper game for parents with younger children: “Get to Know St. George,” beginning at 4:30.

  • First and Third Thursdays: We offer a Food, Diaper, and Plant Distribution from 9-10:30 am in our Parish Hall and Parking Lot. Service with a smile!

  • First Fridays: Our members and friends gather for a once-a-month Lunch Out at 1 pm. We meet at a different restaurant each month. (Do you have a favorite mid-price restaurant that we can add to our list for a future month?)

  • On Saturdays (every other month): We host a special Free Community Fun Day for children ages 3-10 and their parents/caregivers from 10-12 (lunch included). Additionally, we have a year-round partnership with Daughtrey Elementary School’s students, families, and staff.

  • Saturdays (on a quarterly basis):  We host an Indoor Rummage Sale from 10 am - 1 pm, offering bargains you won’t find anywhere else!

The above lists our current efforts. Throughout the year, we respond to other opportunities as they arise.

As your parish priest, I’m available to you in person, by phone, or via e-mail for your spiritual concerns: brian.beno51@gmail.com - (920) 904-7025. Beginning this Fall, we are also planning to add additional seasonal worship and education opportunities, and we are always open to your ideas for our outreach ministries or programs.

Now that you have found our “site,” we hope you’ll look for us and join us for one or another of the above! We’re located at 912 - 63rd Avenue West (1/2 block East of 14th Street on 63rd Avenue).

Again, for specifics, please consult our monthly calendar located on this site under the heading “Calendars.”

In the Love of Christ, we are,
